Research Summary
Emily is a graduate student working with John Grotzinger and Mike Lamb. She is interested in combining detailed stratigraphic observations with probabilistic and deep learning tools in order to decode sequences of carbonate rock into estimates of ancient environmental and sea level change. She is currently working on the Rocknest Formation in northern Canada. Emily also works on projects related to the carbon cycle and carbonate precipitation in the modern and ancient oceans.
